Linking pages within your myMitty course site

This lesson will explain how to make your course page look more like a real webpage by replacing endless links with an image that leads the user to another page within your myMitty course.

The previous lesson, "Using tabs to make your myMitty page more compact" explained how to add extra tabs to use to link pages within your course page. Here I've added one extra tab that I will use for my "Course information" page.

You can see here this is where the course information links are residing.

This is a page I created with links embedded. They are all Google documents.

This is a page I created with links embedded. They are all Google documents.

I did a Google search for an image I wanted to use to represent "Course information", and saved it to my desktop.

On the tab called "Course information", I created a new label.

On the tab called "Course information", I created a new label.

1. Click on the table icon and create the table size you want.

2. Add your image. After your image is added, go back to the myMitty tab/page. Copy the link to that page and go back to your image. Click on the image and then  "add url" icon (#5).

3. Add image caption, if you'd like.

4. I also added an image/link to the class online text here.

Click "Save and return to course"

Now when users click on the image, it will take them to your course information page.

Just one piece of "house keeping"

Go back to Administration>Edit settings>Course format>Number of sections and change the number to one less (so I'll change this to 13).

Now that tab is "gone" (not really, just hidden).
